I find that giving yourself challenges is a good way to develop as a photographer. I wanted to improve my skills in photographing people and gave myself the challenge of setting up one portrait session every week for one year – shooting friends and strangers. No cheating, not three in one week and two weeks of slacking. Only one session between Monday morning and Sunday night, every week.

Shot with Canon 5D mk3 and mostly Canon 85 mm f/1.2 LII USM.
